Meet the Research Team


Dr. Major is an assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Hematology with clinical expertise in the management of lymphomas and CLL/SLL. He is a patient-reported outcomes methodologist in chronic lymphoid malignancies.

Ajay Major, MD, MBA

Principal Investigator

Dr. Buckner is an associate professor of medicine in the Division of Hematology and an expert in the management of hemophilia, with an extensive research portfolio focusing on the assessment of pain in person living with hemophilia utilizing patient-reported outcomes.

Tyler Buckner, MD

Co-Investigator

Dr. Brewer is an associate professor of medicine in the Division of Hematology specializing in psycho-oncology and psychological interventions for patients with blood cancers, particularly patients undergoing cellular therapies and stem cell transplantation.

Ben Brewer, PsyD

Co-Investigator

Dr. Studts is a professor of medicine in the University of Colorado Cancer Center and co-director of the Population Health Shared Resource (PHSR) which supports research logistics of the BISON-PRO Quality of Life Study. He is is also a senior NIH-funded investigator focusing on patient-centered aspects of lung cancer screening.

Ms. Hoover is a Behavioral Science Research Associate in the Population Health Shared Resource (PHSR) and provides expert research support for the BISON-PRO Quality of Life Study.
